Private schools in Dubai are celebrating outstanding GCSE results, as students receive their grades, which could lead them to further education.
GEMS Education and Repton Dubai were among the schools that shared their students’ results after completing their secondary education this year.
A significant number of students in Dubai achieved the highest grade of 9, and many will now continue their higher education in the emirate.
GEMS Education – GCSE Results 2024
British curriculum schools within the GEMS Education network celebrated exceptional IGCSE/GCSE results, with more students taking the exams than ever before, marking a remarkable conclusion to the 2024 summer exam season.
- Over 3,800 students from 23 schools across the UAE and Qatar sat for more than 26,400 exams.
- A total of 3,617 students achieved the perfect grade 9 or A*, making up 14% of all entries.
- 22% of exams were graded *9-8 (A), while *40% received grades 9-7 (A-A).
- 60% of exams were awarded *grades 9-6 (A-B), and *83% received grades 9-4 (A-C).

Top Achievements in the GEMS Network
Some of the most notable achievements in the GEMS network include:
- Jumeirah College Dubai: 27% of students achieved the highest grade 9, while *85% secured grades 9-6 (A-B)**.
- GEMS Wellington International School: 26% of students attained grade 9 or A*, and *81% achieved grades 9-6 (A-B)**.
- GEMS Wellington Academy - Silicon Oasis: 60% of students received *grades 9-6 (A-B)**.
- GEMS FirstPoint School - The Villa and GEMS Metropole School - Motor City saw 55% and 56% of students, respectively, achieving *grades 9-6 (A-B)**.
Repton Schools’ GCSE Success in 2024
The Repton Family of Schools in the UAE also celebrated remarkable achievements in the 2024 GCSE exams.
This year marks a significant milestone, as it is the first time that students from all three Repton schools in the UAE sat for GCSE exams—with Repton Al Barsha’s first cohort achieving outstanding results.
- Repton Al Barsha: 35% of students achieved *grades 9-8 (A), while *53% secured grades 9-7 (A-A)—a remarkable success for the school’s first graduating cohort.
- The school recorded outstanding performance in Biology, Chemistry, Mathematics, and History, reflecting the dedication and hard work of both students and faculty.
- The overall pass rate reached 100%, underscoring the school's commitment to academic excellence and continuous improvement.
Chandini Misra, Principal of Repton Al Barsha, stated:
"Our academic stars have demonstrated exceptional dedication and resilience throughout their journey to graduation. Their outstanding results are a testament to their hard work, the unwavering support of their families, and the nurturing environment provided by our dedicated teachers. Meanwhile, students at Repton Dubai once again demonstrated exceptional academic performance for the 15th consecutive year:
- 37% of students achieved *grades 9-8 (A), while *55% secured grades 9-7 (A-A), leading to an overall student pass rate of 95.5%.
- 100% of students secured progression to Repton’s Sixth Form, either through A-level and BTEC pathways or the IB Diploma Programme (IBDP).
